¿Cual es el problema?

Si nos referimos a eficiencia energética, las ventanas son quizá los puntos más débiles en el cerramiento de un edificio o vivienda.  Conseguir la  máxima iluminación con luz solar se contrapone  con el bajo  grado  de aislamiento  térmico  a  través  de  ellas;  durante  el verano permiten la  entrada en  exceso de  radiaciones térmicas  en  el interior  del edificio, y  durante el invierno son el punto por donde más fácilmente se pierde calor.

Por ello es importante que los diferentes elementos de la ventana, carpintería y vidrio, tengan la calidad adecuada para evitar las perdidas de frío y calor en el edificio y así, reducir el consumo energético a través de las mismas, para conseguir un máximo ahorro en calefacción y refrigeración, y satisfacer el requisito básico de habitabilidad relativo al ahorro de energía y aislamiento térmico, disminuyendo el consumo.

¿Cómo solucionarlo?

La solución al problema consiste en la sustitución de vidrios y/o carpinterías existentes, por otras de mejores prestaciones que las preexistentes.

Sustitución de vidrio
  • Si la calidad del vidrio es deficiente, y la carpintería existente soporta el peso adicional del nuevo acristalamiento además de disponer de un galce de dimensiones adecuadas para la instalación del mismo, es una medida adecuada, ya que no conlleva muchas molestias a los usuarios, es rápida, fácil de ejecutar  y más económica que la sustitución completa de la ventana.

 

Con todo ello reduciremos el consumo energético de nuestra vivienda logrando mayor confort térmico. No solo estaremos más frescos en verano y más cálidos en invierno, sino que también reduciremos el coste de nuestra factura y los impactos medioambientales.

¿Que ahorro pued obtener?

Si en nuestra vivienda tenemos perdidas energéticas por mala calidad de los vidrios de nuestras ventanas, y procedemos a la reducción de las mismas mediante sustitución de los vidrios  en nuestro edificio, podemos conseguir ahorros energéticos en el consumo de calefacción y refrigeración, entre 1 y 10%.

Tipo de vidrio
  • El ahorro será mayor cuanto mejor sea el tipo de vidrio elegido; sencillo, doble o doble bajo emisivo, y su factor solar.

 

Espesor del vidrio
  • El ahorro será mayor cuanto mayor sea el espesor del vidrio/s que componen el acristalamiento.

 

Espesor de la cámara (vidrios dobles)
  • El ahorro aumenta de manera proporcional a la anchura de la cámara entre vidrios (vidrios dobles), cuanto mayor es esta, mayor es el aislamiento, debiendo tener como máximo 15cm de cámara.

 

Calidad de la ejecución
  • El ahorro será mayor cuanto mejor sea la colocación, especialmente el sellado entre vidrio y carpintería, para evitar infiltraciones

 

Ejemplo:  Si nuestra vivienda no dispone de vidrios de calidad, sustituyendo el vidrio en todos sus huecos, reduciremos los niveles de transmisión térmica de la envolvente del edificio, ahorrando hasta el 10% en el consumo de calefacción y refrigeración.
